Step by step walkthrough

At 4byte4.com, we want you to know what you are getting when you become our client. With that in mind, we have a step by step walkthrough that will show you, from start to finish, what you can expect as a client of ours.

1) Contact
Whether through our site, or word of mouth, or other advertising, you contact us expressing an interest in a web design and internet marketing strategey. we will get together and set up a time to go over the scope of your project, what you want to accomplish and your budget.

2) Proposal
At this point we will write up a proposal for you to go over, and we will fine tune it together to make sure that your dreams and ideas come through loud and clear. We will also discuss who will do the graphics work, and what type of maintenance will be required once the site is done. If you already have someone that does graphics for you, we can work with them, or we can provide graphics services for you. We will put together a design workbook that includes your colors, graphics mockups, and logo suggestions for you to sign off on. This will be the basis for the look and feel of the site. When you sign the proposal, we will put together a contract.

3) Contract and Deposit
Both your company and 4byte4.com sign a contract, and a deposit is due before starting any work. A 50% deposit is required, in some cases more or less will be required depending on hosting, database, or other issues. At this point we will establish a single point of contact with you, or your company so that there is no confusion as to who makes future decisions. We will also establish a firm timeline for completion of the site, and checkpoints to make sure that we are all still of one mind. This is also the time when you will start the copyright and trademark process if that will be needed. We can offer guidance in this area.

4) Preparing for demo site
At this point we gather all the items we will need to put together the demo site. Your Graphics, Pictures, Text, Item Descriptions, and anything else we may need to complete the site. We will put together the design concept from the workbook for your company to critique and discuss. Your feedback will make this a smooth process.

5) Site testing
During the creation of the site, it will be tested with numerous browsers, and on a variety of internet connections to make sure that everyone sees the site the way you have intended. We test the site on dial up modems and high speed internet. We also test all major browsers, and several minor browsers to ensure cross platform compatibility. We have several hundred people look at your site with a variety of screen sizes, monitor sizes, and computers to make sure that it comes up the same, everytime.

6) Completion of the site
Once the site has been completed according to the workbook and tested to YOUR satisfaction, you will sign off on the final site, and final payment is made. We provide you with a CD-ROM which includes your website, all files and graphics. Copyright of the site transfers to your company and copyright notice on your site is changed to your company At this point any hosting fees that are set up through us will start. If you are hosting through someone else, you can upload it using the cd we provide, or we can upload it for you free of charge.

7) Website promtion
We will work with you throughout the design and implementation to ensure that your site is being found by the search engines. We guarantee that your site will be indexed by the major search engines.
